Fetcham Netball Club donates old kit to school girls in Kigoma Tanzania

Fetcham Netball Club recently donated their old kit to school girls in Kigoma Tanzania. The following is a letter from the Municipal Sports Officer:

Dear sir/Madam,

On behalf of myself and our Municipal Director ,we would like to thanks all CLUBS IN UK,who donate old Netball kit to our Municipal.Our children are very glad to receive equipment for the first since they started to play Netball 2007 when we initiate the program of developing Netball game in our Municipal. Only football game is played in our area ,this means most of the boys are involve in that game. Since I appointed to be Municipal sports officer in 2007 i initiate the the program of developing Netball in our Municipal.This program will help the girls to participate fully in sports activities,it build confidence, it attract to attend school,used to teach social education like HIV,life, Leadership,Prevent Environment,Basic skill of netball,and also decrease number of girls who got pregnant at an early age.

Actual it is good start to our Municipal,our children will enjoy and like to play this game.hopeful all the club will continue to support our Municipal specific in netball balls ,training DVD ,CD,or VIDEO,Books which teaching different skills ,technique which are very important in running our program.Not only that but also to exchange program via studying,tour match or your qualified coaches to visit in our Municipal or your team. We thanks again and welcome further advice to our Municipal in order to make good relationship with our Municipal children. let us check the photo of our children together with me.

Fetcham Netball Club Celebrates its 30th Anniversary

Fetcham Netball club celebrated their 30th Anniversary at the Carlton Mitre Hotel Hampton Court in the Summer of 2009. Players, past and present, joined Sue Lewis the founder of the club to celebrate 30 years of playing and friendship. Photos and memories were shared along with a good dose of eating, drinking and dancing.

Fetcham Netball Club competes in Javea Ladies International Tournament Spain

Fetcham club took two teams to the tournament in Spain which was held in May 2009. Competing against teams from Spain and the UK Fetcham came third and several players also received several tournament awards. This trip is likely to become an annual occurance as a great time was had by all.
